Summary
QFOTONS is an investigation into reducing loss in photonic quantum systems for quantum communication, encryption and error correction. The approach is to improve upon quantum tomography schemes by reducing the number of measurements required to reconstruct a quantum state, saving time and compute power. QFOTONS demonstrates the improved tomography method using theoretical simulation in MATLAB and proposes an experimental implementation layout for future work.
