Exploring the cornerstones of our built environment
What is a capstone?
The School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment capstone course is a senior-level project for undergraduate students in civil, construction and environmental engineering. Students teams solve real-world problems with mentoring from industry sponsors, developing skills in project management, teamwork and technical communication. Projects emphasize multidisciplinary design, transportation safety, infrastructure planning and professional collaboration aligned with ABET expectations. The capstone showcase is where teams present their final projects, which are similar to those that they will engage in during their careers.
