Summary
To keep pace with advancing technology and evolving wartime tactics, the United States Marine Corps needed a solution to unload materials and equipment from a V-22 Osprey quickly and safely in various environments for Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations and Forward Arming and Refueling Points. The team designed a device using a commercially available hydraulic floor jack, retrofitted with a custom platform featuring rollers to ensure smooth cargo transitions from ramp to device. A catch guard at the back prevents cargo from rolling off, and a lazy susan between the jack and platform allows for rotation, providing additional clearance.
