The team was tasked with automating conventional home interior doors while preserving a seamless aesthetic. To accomplish this, they proposed modifying an existing door hinge with a gear and pulley system, integrating a motor, gearbox, clutch assembly and electronic control box within the door frame and adjoining wall, ensuring both functionality and a streamlined appearance.
