Autonomous Chemical Sensing Drone

Electrical Engineering

Team 6: Jordan Engle, Calvin Kennedy, Donovan London, Joshua Schuetta, Colby Wheeler

Summary

The objective of this project is to correctly detect significant gaseous concentrations of ammonia, an airborne pollutant which is toxic to organic life in large concentrations. The system will function autonomously to survey an outdoor area of interest and wirelessly transmit collected GPS and sensor data back to a Ground Control Station, or GCS. With the data received from the drone, a concentration map will be constructed to help identify the source of pollution.
