Summary
Wi-Fi is ubiquitous and secure Wi-Fi environments are necessary to prevent a wide range of potential harms to both the organizations who maintain a space and the people within that space. This project consists of the development of an autonomous, flexible and low cost system to detect all Wi-Fi access points within an area and provide that information to the system user.
The developed system consists of a Wi-Fi enabled microcontroller to detect the access points, an aerial drone to move the microcontroller through the area and a computer based ground station to manage the flight and analyze and present the access point data.
